CMHA Kenora is happy to announce the launch of our new Recovery College

Do you want to be part of creating a new learning experience for those in our district struggling with their mental health and well-being?

CMHA Kenora is happy to announce the launch of our new Recovery College, a unique learning center where people with lived experience of mental health issues, peers, family members and mental health professionals will use their knowledge and experience to work collaboratively and on equal terms to co-develop and co-deliver courses on a range of topics that support well-being and recovery.

Courses will be completely free and open to anyone, on topics ranging from how to manage stress to how to express yourself through creative writing, all offered with the intention of promoting well-being.

Our first course, Coping With COVID, will be a single, 2-hr session.

On July 19thth from 12:00pm-2:00pm, join us on MS Teams to:

  1. Learn about how you can better cope with stressors related to the COVID-19 pandemic
  2. Provide feedback on how we can improve these materials for future sessions
  3. Tell us what else you’d like to see us offer through our new Recovery College. We will send out a survey at the end for all attendees.

Click Here to Register. All are welcome, and we especially encourage those with lived experience to share their perspectives.
