CMHA Kenora receives highest accreditation award by Accreditation Canada
Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Kenora Branch was awarded the highest accreditation award issue by Accreditation Canada (AC). With a rating of 99% per cent, CMHA Kenora has received accreditation with exemplary standing, the highest accreditation award issued by AC.
These decisions are based on compliance with standards, and CMHA Kenora was evaluated on 12 priority processes and 5 sets of standards. Of those standards the agency was in compliance with an impressive 99 per cent and met every test for compliance for all 6 required organizational practices.
By achieving accreditation with exemplary standing the agency will not have to undergo another accreditation survey for four years.

Some of the highlights and strengths that were acknowledged by the accreditors included the agency’s commitment to quality and client safety shown in all levels. Areas identified for excellence related to: innovation, governance, programs reflect needs of those being served, human resource strategies, system leadership, implementation of evidence based practices, client and family centered care, resiliency and transformation.
